The home boasts large rooms and original victrorian features including an impressive staircase incorporating a stained glass window. A large reception room provides an alternative socialising space to the grand lounge. Meals can be taken either in our dining room or in the residents own private room. With the conservatory providing a relaxing and peaceful after meal retreat.

Each room is equiped with all the expected facilities, a 24 hr nurse call system, Telephone and Television points, ensuite facilities and security boxes. Each room is fully furnished although all our residents are encouraged to bring personal items with them.

Health and Wellbeing

The home benefits from being supported by two local Doctors surgeries, who visit regularly along with other healthcare professionals including District Nurses, Chiropodist,Physiotherapist and Occupational therapist.

Close by and within easy walking distance of the home, there are several other amenities avaliable to our residents, including a local opticians, several dentists, places of worship and the John Betjemen Centre providing a meeting place and activities for the over 65's.

Friends and Family are always welcome to visit here at the home, and there are several areas within the house for socialising, including our grand victorian lounge or our sunny conservatory.

Our Staff

The staff here at Highpoint Lodge povide assistance with all elements of personal care, catering, laundry and domestic help. With many living locally and with long term employment, the staff are able to provide conversations and links to the community.Staff are encouraged to build close and personal relationships with our residents, helping to provide a safe and familiar care environment.

All our staff are well qualified and have achieved qualifications in Health and Social Care,as required by the Care Quality Commission. Staff qualifications are regularly reviewed and updated.
